the supremes, the most commercially successful girl group in pop history, were one of the jewels in motown records artist stable. given wonderful material by motown s amazing songwriters, the group scored numerous number one pop hits, as did singer diana ross when she left the group and went solo, and motowns bright, modern, and uptown image as a label had a lot to do with the way these ladies gracefully and elegantly presented themselves and took over a song. two dozen of those number one hits, both as the supremes and as ross solo, are collected here, including the timeless classics *come see about me*, *you cant hurry love*, *you keep me hangin on* and *stop! in the name of love*. the album also features a bonus remix of *you keep me hangin on*.

a quest for form which is never static and accompanied by two constants - repetition and reduction. reduction requires repetition in order to make the intangible tangible for man. this repetition also stimulates our perception and helps us find an inner self while illuminating towards the primal thought. another synonym for *intangible* is *not human* - for the most reductive of primal thoughts, sprung from fractal chance, does not deal with human beings but with a formal language that is universal, drawing from the innermost, and only becomes tangible in accidental, fortuitous moments.

after their debut on vakant we present you cw/as next offering, day of riddance. feeling right at home on parachute with its lack of genre-defining ties, the record features 3 road-tested live extracts alongside remixes from stroboscopic artefacts head honcho lucy and ilian tape boss dario zenker. cw/a is the live project from long-time friends and studio partners thomas (avatism) and francesco (clockwork) originally a live amalgamation of their solo material, it eventually evolved into a broader, more dynamic improvisa- tion-centric performance focused on experimenting around the outskirts of techno, jungle and electronica. we hope this release gives you an insight on both our vision and cw/as: a barrier-trashing wall of sound that goes from live settings into the studio and back.

our next big release at bad barbie, going out on digital and 12 inch, comes by the hand of aldo cadiz itself, but this time partnered with kareem cali. these two made a fantastic three track ep called monita ep. the first track monita presents a solid base created with a classic tech style and an extremely groovy bass line. full of small arrangements and a crazy vocal line, this tracks its perfect for any club dj. the second track bonita, is the one with the more old school vibe, from the bass line to the main acid synth, which goes evolving softly with a filter during the track to generate the needed tension. all this with a strong tech groove to follow the step of this solid ambience created by the acid synths. the last track moni, also has many techno and acid elements presents. we can perceive the techno soul mainly on the arrangement of the hi-hats and bass line, but the acid synth in triplet at the backend is what generates the crazy vibe and almost hypnotic feeling during the track, playing around with the volume of it. definitely a fantastic release to add to any collection.

nick beringer & diego krause have teamed up to deliver a 3 track ep to our mfd office, the mainland europeans have covered the upbeat corner of the spectrum with adam, and taken things a bit easier with the interesting sounds on focus and premium. keeping on our european thing, we welcomed lazare hoche s posterboy malin genie to work up a driving little dub mix to round things off.

why stop when youve got a good thing going? that was our reasoning, at least, behind gp286v, a special vinyl release inspired by the crazy goodness that was roach motels, the night ep. released alongside a handful of great remixes by the likes of tuff city kids, fred everything and felix da housecat, this vinyl edition of the night has put their old-school-leaning 7 minutes of popping rhythm heaven on wax for all the black gold enthusiasts to enjoy.

arturo garces, our brother from the west coast, returns to robsoul with his looking for strangers ep. loved by the robsoul community for his beats from the streets series, the san jose resident first appeared on the label back in 2012 with a trio of tracks that made up vol.1. two more collections followed and firmly established arturo as one of the labels most exciting talents. a label boss himself, arturo is seen as having helped define what is known as the silicon valley sound. his own blend of beat-laden house infused with elements of soul, funk and disco has seen him become a favourite with the likes of sneak, farina and weeks.
looking for strangers opens with the latin guitar licks of the title track before we are treated to the deeper jackin vibes and delicious chords of bassment beat. the vicious kick drum of no fool leads us on the flip, with its awesome stabs of soul. in motion featuring the subtle and sultry vocals of silencia closes the ep with its twisted filters and bass-heavy beats.

both the dub version and the listen up vox mix of give you some rest on the a-side. opening with percussion, the impending rhythmic baseline quickly grabs our attention. darius throws us some vocal sampling in the vox mix, creating an outstanding raw and iconic house vibe. flipping it over, we find drop your gimmicks on the b-side. this one is a bit more serious and bit less bouncy. with a deeper bass line that tells you what time it is, and the percussion to keep your feet shuffling, the track is, as darius put s it true house music .

the turn of the new year means amam is about to reach its fifth anniversary - now with over sixty releases of some of the classiest house and techno produced in italy and around the world. were trying out some new things, and that includes starting 2015 with a shout-out to the old school: a vinyl-only split ep featuring two gems from our roster, dakpa and 000.

for this release, our residents made something really special. they went further in their respective vision of electronic music, and it ended up with these 4 original tracks from ra.pu, suli, primear, and nekow. all is about the groove and feelings. b side is vinyl only

here comes the second blind spot music vinyl with some of our favourite techno artists on the board. the original track scattered produced by the japanese ryuji takeuchi and it is a proper peak time smasher. ryuji after a few remixes is finally landing with an original track on blind spot music. in the past techno fans have heared his unique style on various releases on label likes of nachtstrom schallplatten, sick weird rough, huehelix or his own imprint local sound network.
on the remix duties are: mallorcas techno ambassador angel costa, who has released on some of the most prestigious labels of the techno scene such as clr, electric deluxe, micro.fon. the german michael schwarz, whose unique driving-techno materials came out on driving forces, wall music, praxxiz and at last but not least blind spots very own dr hoffmann & gabeen. the duo is infecting the techno scene slowly with their lethal sounds.
the scattered ep is not for the faint-hearted, serious underground techno beats on it.

carl finlow aka random factor has been doing deep house before they called it deep house. as a staple on 20/20 vision record in the last 90s he made a name for himself with his off the beaten path production that took europe underground sceen by a storm. we are super excited to have finally tracked mr. finlow down in 2015 and put together an amazing ep that has his signature sound written all over it. our seasons recordings imprint is proud to present *subterranean ep*. enjoy the underground tone and remember to play it loud!

st. petersburg resident kito jempere is back on dirt crew with his first full release after his debut album on fata morgana and a great ep on freerange last year. following his great contribution to our deep love series we now welcome him with these two unique tracks. ranging from house to disco and jazz influences, kito found his very own style and switches easily between them. up tempo and energetic tracks with great melodies, driving bass lines and clever sample use.

following the huge success of dlm 004 and the massive appeal of roman flugels remix of idle eyes (as charted by all from dixon to michael mayer, dan avery to maceo plex), here is a little surprise from our camp. glockd is c.a.rs trademark washed out sarcasm, bleached cynicism, the track forages paths through chloes dark mind. it was one of the first tracks she wrote on her own, and was recorded down the bunker with timothy j fairplay. a favourite of andrew weatherall (who nominated my friend, the c.a.r album, as one of the best releases of 2014), it is now coming full-circle, being given a stomping shuffle air guitar dance-floor rework by the asphodells … if you liked our lord sabres remix of fuck buttons this is for you. electronics looking at the floor & air guitar. following it is manfredas (the protégé of les disques de la mort) vocal version of angelina, a request from many after the instrumental being released earlier this year. the northern wulf is biting again. and he bites hard.

ah, yes! finally some real flavours to sink our teeth into. the nose is truly a work of art. first the classic peaty smoke but so distinctly understated. confident in it s maturity. the salty pineapple citrus is next coupled with a refined lemon- lime toffee tartness. and finally a whiff of fresh cucumber sprinkled with the loveliest of white pepper. oh, yes. this is what we’ve been waiting for! the creamy mouthfeel is laced with intense black peppers but then mellows out to give you honey, lemon and chocolate with a dash of tobacco. the long peppery finish is fruity with a hint of limestone. these are the classic flavours that made linkwood one of the top distilleries and expressions should be on your list of malts to try before you die.

its been a long and lonely winter and it took ursl quite some time huntingdown its next new wild child - but at last, here he is, mr. krink and his fourdark, deep and minimal tracks all packed onto ursls forthcoming ep. andthat shall not be all - our dear friend and fellow music addict david dorad will release his first rmx on ursl shortly thereafter. no worries though, this will not be the end of the (ursl) story .. so, watch out and keep your eyes open!

as part of longstanding no wave duo naked on the vague, murky girl group knitted abyss and extraterrestrial drone project half high, lucy phelan has been a critical force in the sydney diy scene for over 10 years. under the solo veil of lucy cliche, she annihilates with these four wavey techno tracks that honour her noise and punk ethos. with pounding drum sequences, draining synths and emotionless vocals echoing cosey fanni tutti, her dark dreams sabotage our calculations of modern dance while demonstrating how physicality and the ethereal can interact.

30drop deepens in the mystique of sacred geometry with its second release, vortex resonance ep. based on the theoretical and intentional, but not formal, techno foundational precepts, a deliberately contemporary stylistic overdevelopment is build. this time, we find four cuts that highlight the rhythm in view if the space dance floor. beating pulses are interwoven with cosmic atmospheres to travel beyond our planetary borders.

the nuclear family return with the follow-up to the summer’s after effects ep - another four tracks of deeper electronics for discerning djs and dancers. the title cut is a throwback to the days when we made music in our bedrooms with whatever cheap-ass drum machines and synths we could lay our hands on, and we have invited one of our favourite artists, atlantas moon b, to lend his magic touch to a remix on the flip, we drift into dubbier climes before dropping the tempo to close things out on a spaced-out electro tip.

the dark acid series returns for a fourth outing, with four of our favorite producers of the moment. the series was started for artists that we think have been exploring and developing the outer reaches of acid house and techno. previous artists who have contributed to the series include torn hawk, jamal moss as ibm (insane black man), dungeon acid, claire, golden teacher, twins, tzu sing and tuff sherm. for this one we have gathered together an exciting group who have really stretched out and contributed some outstanding trax.
